Why be a Peer Reviewer for SEE LJ
SEE LJ is an open dynamic publication which constantly develops. It has a potential of engaging many regional academics into a vivid debate on relevant legal issues, and as such act as a forum for a relevant academic debate. The new format of our journal envisages participation of the legal practitioners from the region who will be able to contribute with their own perspective, experiences and knowledge rendering thus the overall debate more thorough and multi-dimensional.
All reviewers of the SEE LJ are included in our Pool of Experts which is regularly updated and addressed within the scope of this project, but can be also included in future activities of SEELS as further networking within the Network itself is encouraged in this manner.
Furthermore, SEE LJ is an international legal journal that is published solely in English Language which makes it one of its kind in the region. Its editorial board is consisted of the experts coming from all of the faculty members of the SEELS network.
In our constant strive to make this edition reach its full potential we are working in a dedicated manner to create a significant edition which will be registered in various relevant data bases. In addition and by the decision of the SEE LJ Editorial Board, starting from our next publication, we are granting all of our registered peer reviewers who have collaborated on the issue, a certificate which recognizes their contribution to the edition. By the same decision each review engagement will be awarded with a certificate, issued by the SEE LJ Editorial Board. How to become Peer Reviewer
The Editorial Board members are free to suggest reviewers from their respective faculties to be included to the Peer Reviewers Pool, but the reviewers are also free to apply for this position themselves.The Editorial Board has a final say in the selection of the Peer Reviewers of the journal.
Please note, that if you are selected as a Peer Reviewer, you will be listed in our Peer Reviewers Pool, in accordance with your specific area of expertise and legal field you are working in.
As a reviewer you might be assigned more than one paper for review or omitted in some instance, as our system automatically pre-selects the reviewers in accordance with the propositions made from the Editorial Board.
Sometimes we might have more applications coming from one specific area of law, which can cause that some peer reviewers might be omitted since there are no paper submission dealing with the adequate law discipline they cover.
Useful to have in mind: As the process of the review of the papers is of crucial importance for the successful publication of the journal, you should confirm or decline your engagement in the shortest time span as possible so that a new reviewer can be contacted. Note that you have 20 days to complete your review.
